Michael A. Gregg, CFP®
Founder, Managing Partner
CA Insurance License #0E90606
Mike grew up in the Midwest, and he developed an affinity for personal and family money matters at an early age. In fact, he hired his first stock broker at the age of 12, a gentleman fifty years his senior who mentored Mike throughout his teen years on the fundamentals of building a stock portfolio and prudent personal financial management. A career in the personal financial planning profession was, quite simply, a natural fit.
Mike relocated to San Francisco upon graduating with a BA from Indiana University in 2003. Within two years he was working as an analyst and sales professional in a boutique wealth management practice for very high net worth individuals. He enrolled in San Francisco State University’s Executive Certificate in Financial Planning curriculum and secured his Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) professional designation. He achieved admission to the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table in recognition of his exemplary performance as a financial professional and his adherence to the highest standards of ethics, knowledge, service and productivity. Mike also holds Series 6, 63, and 7 Securities registrations with LPL Financial and a Series 65 with Strategic Wealth Advisors Group LLC, and is registered in multiple states (CA, FL, GA, HI, MA, MD, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, SC, TX).
Mike is known for his approachable, open and respectful manner. He relishes the opportunity to help each client pursue the personal, professional and financial goals they have for themselves and their loved ones. From the beginning of his career he has eschewed the traditional static planning approach used by most financial advisors. Rather, Mike seeks to optimize each client’s resources to accomplish particular objectives and/or set out a path to pursue long-term ambitions, whatever their set of life circumstances might be.
Outside of the office, Mike loves to travel, both around the U.S. and internationally, and he supports various philanthropic causes in the Palm Desert and San Francisco Bay Areas. Whether he is at home or abroad, Mike confesses to being a bit of an oenophile; he is particularly fond of the wines of Napa and Sonoma. Whenever he gets a chance, he visits his alma mater, Indiana University, and catches up with family and friends in the Midwest. He includes among his best friends a Golden Retriever named Abby and an American Mastiff named Zelda. Mike lives in San Francisco but travels regularly to Southern California to visit with current and prospective clients.
